Apple supplier Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has confirmed a recent data breach, which involved the leakage of data related to server setup and configuration. However, customer information was reportedly not affected. The LockBit ransomware gang has published data from TSMC and is demanding $70 million to prevent further publication, including passwords and logins. The stolen data originated from IT services provider Kinmax Technology, which was working with TSMC. It is unclear if other Kinmax partners, such as Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware, were impacted.
