Apple has updated its Apple Card Monthly Installment plan in the U.S., requiring users to purchase iPhones linked to AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. This means the plan can no longer be used to purchase a SIM-free iPhone. However, all iPhones bought through the plan will be unlocked for carrier switching. The change aligns the online policy with the in-store one. Additionally, Apple will now require customers to pay off Apple Watch devices over a 12-month period instead of 24 months. The Apple Card Monthly Installment plan allows users to pay for devices over 24 months with 0% APR and 3% Daily Cash back on payments.
