Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang has ordered the suspension of fire drills in both private and government schools until all equipment is inspected for safety and all training fire extinguishers are recalled for safety checks. Aswin has also implemented new regulations for fire drills, including using empty fire extinguishers instead of CO2 and ensuring that drills conducted near schools are observed from the second or third floor for safety. The Bangkok governor has also instructed all fire stations in the city to inspect their chemical fire extinguishers to determine if they have expired or need to be replaced. Three fire drill officers are also facing charges for negligence in relation to the recent explosion that killed a student and injured ten others at Ratchawinit School. Bangkok Deputy Governor Thaweesak Lertpraphan is currently investigating the incident to determine the true cause of the accident.
