Amazon is launching an Amazon Hub Delivery system that utilizes small businesses in 23 states to complete shipments to customers. The program covers over 20 major cities and allows businesses such as bodegas, coffee shops, and florists to qualify. Amazon gets more reliable deliveries by offloading “last mile” shipments to small businesses, while partners can supplement their income. The company hopes to partner with 2,500 small business drivers by the end of 2023. This strategy comes after Amazon announced mass layoffs and amidst labor complaints. Keywords: Amazon Hub Delivery, small businesses, last mile shipments.
