The 23rd edition of CPH:DOX, Copenhagen’s International Documentary Film Festival, recently concluded with its awards ceremony. From a competitive lineup of 74 films, the DOX:Award was won by Dongnan Chen’s “Whispers in May,” while a special mention went to Nolwenn Hervé’s “The Cord.” Nathan Grossman’s “Amazomania” received the inaugural FIPRESCI Award. Other notable winners included Emma Wall and Betsy Hershey’s “Just Look Up” for the F:ACT Award and Shakiba Adil and Elina Hirvonen’s “The Secret Reading Club of Kabul” for the NORDIC:DOX Award. Further prizes recognized emerging talents and innovative VR works.
