The Oldenburg Film Festival, Germany’s top indie fest, announced the lineup for its upcoming 30th-anniversary edition. The festival will feature world premieres of films starring Marion Cotillard and Ving Rhames. One of the highlights is “Uppercut,” a boxing film directed by Torsten Ruether and starring Ving Rhames as a former boxer who gets a chance at redemption. Other premieres include a horror film called “The Wait” by Spanish director F. Javier Gutierrez, and a romantic comedy titled “Whenever I’m Alone With You” by Guillaume Campanacci and Vedrana Egon. The festival will run from September 13-17, 2023.
