Hollywood icons Batman and Indiana Jones have a surprising shared history on the big screen. Batman had a revival in 1989 with Tim Burton’s film starring Michael Keaton, while Indiana Jones had already established himself with the release of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981. Both characters were successful in their respective films, but Batman’s financial success was overshadowed by Indiana Jones’ “Last Crusade.” However, Batman’s reputation grew with subsequent sequels, while Indiana Jones took a hiatus from live-action adventures. In 2008, both characters returned to theaters, but Batman’s “The Dark Knight” outperformed Indiana Jones’ “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Despite this, both characters remain popular and will have new films in the future.
