The Executioner Books in the Works as Movie from Sony, Shane Black

Sony Pictures is set to adapt Don Pendelton’s action-packed book series, The Executioner, for the big screen. The project reunites Shane Black and Joel Silver, with Black writing and potentially directing the script. This marks the first time all rights to the Executioner series have been consolidated under one studio. The series, following the adventures of sniper Mack Bolan, was initially penned by Pendelton and later by ghostwriters. While past attempts to adapt the series have failed, this deal brings renewed hope. Black and Silver previously collaborated on several classic action films, enhancing the project’s anticipated appeal.
