After months of speculation, James Gunn and Peter Safran have found their Clark Kent, AKA Superman, for the highly anticipated reboot Superman: Legacy. David Corenswet, known for his roles in The Politician and Hollywood, will star opposite Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane. Corenswet is the first American-born actor to play Superman on the big screen since Brandon Routh. He has a background in theater and is a graduate of the Juilliard School. Corenswet’s previous credits include appearances in One Bad Choice, Elementary, Instinct, House of Cards, and indie films like Affairs of State and The Sunlit Night. Corenswet’s future projects include Operation Othello, Lady in the Lake, The Greatest Hits, The Answers, and Twisters.
