Warner Bros. has pushed the release date of its live-action hybrid film, Animal Friends, to January 22, 2027, from its previous date of May 1, 2026, having been initially scheduled for October 10, 2025. Directed by Peter Atencio, the film features a cast including Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, and Aubrey Plaza. Originally developed at Sony Pictures, it moved to Warner Bros. in 2024 under a deal with Legendary. Atencio’s past works include Keanu and The Machine, while Reynolds recently starred in Deadpool & Wolverine, and Momoa has multiple upcoming projects including Dune: Part Three.
