The 57th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival kicked off with performances by Russell Crowe and British band Morcheeba. Crowds gathered in front of the Hotel Thermal in the Czech spa town to enjoy the free concerts. Crowe received the Crystal Globe for his outstanding artistic contribution to world cinema during the festival’s opening ceremony. During his performance, Crowe interacted with the audience and shared stories about his songwriting process. The festival, which runs until July 8, also featured a fireworks display and performances by Morcheeba.
