Writer-director Alex Garland continues his successful collaboration with A24, following the dystopian thriller Civil War, with plans for a big-budget adaptation of the fantasy video game Elden Ring. His prior film, Annihilation, a cerebral sci-fi movie featuring Oscar Isaac and Natalie Portman, had a unique release strategy, performing poorly in theaters but generating critical acclaim with an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it will soon be removed from Paramount+. Viewers interested in Annihilation should watch it on the platform before the deadline of May 1.
