Apple TV+’s dark comedy series “High Desert,” starring Patricia Arquette as a drug addict turned private investigator, will not be renewed for a second season. Arquette announced the news on Instagram, expressing her disappointment. The show follows Arquette’s character, Peggy, as she transitions from her troubled past to a new life as a P.I after the death of her mother. Despite a strong cast and creative team including Bernadette Peters and Matt Dillon, the series failed to make a lasting impact. The first season of “High Desert” consists of eight episodes.
