The Toxic Avenger, a cult-classic superhero black comedy movie from 1984, is getting a reboot with a contemporary reimagining of the story. The original film follows the story of Melvin, a janitor who transforms into a monstrous hero, The Toxic Avenger, after falling into a vat of toxic waste. The reboot stars Peter Dinklage as the lead character and features a talented cast including Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, and Elijah Wood. The film, directed by Macon Blair, will retain the practical gore effects seen in the original.
