This month marks the 50th anniversary of Bruce Lee’s death at 32 and the release of his highest-profile film, Enter the Dragon. Directed by Robert Clouse, the action film stars Lee as a Shaolin monk recruited by British intelligence to compete in a martial arts tournament and track down a crime boss. Before Enter the Dragon, Lee was known for his role in The Green Hornet and Batman, as well as other kung fu films. Lee choreographed the fight sequences himself and the film’s success made him a global icon. Enter the Dragon is still considered one of the best martial arts films to date.
