The Pod Generation, written and directed by Sophie Barnes, explores the debate between natural childbirth and having a baby in a pod. The film takes place in a future where a company called The Womb Center offers customizable birthing experiences. Rachel and Alvy, a couple with differing views on technology, grapple with the implications of this new birthing process. However, the film fails to fully explore its intriguing ideas and ends up feeling underwhelming. Despite this, the performances by Emilia Clarke and Chiwetel Ejiofor are strong. The Pod Generation is visually stunning but lacks substance.
