The limited series “Herrhausen — The Banker and The Bomb” tells the story of the assassination of Alfred Herrhausen, the chairman of Deutsche Bank, in 1986. The bombing was blamed on the Red Army Faction (RAF), but the true perpetrators were never found. The series explores the conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination and Herrhausen’s progressive views, including his push for debt relief for third-world countries. Actor Oliver Masucci, who portrays Herrhausen, discusses his connection to the character and the relevance of the story in today’s world. The series won the prize for best mini-series at the Munich Film Festival.
