The International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) has established a Work Slowdown Hardship Fund and financial relief policies for members affected by the writers strike. The Fund will provide grants of up to $1,000 to union members facing financial difficulties due to work lost or delayed by any industry labor actions in 2023, including the Writers Guild of America strike. The guild’s board has also approved a dues opt-out option for the fourth quarter of 2023 and deferred the collection of initiation and delinquency fees. The eligibility criteria for the Hardship Fund will be determined by the national executive officers.
