The Birds of Prey, a female-led superhero team, have struggled to find success in live-action adaptations. Both the TV series and the 2020 movie underperformed at the box office. However, the newly formed DC Studios led by James Gunn and Peter Safran should not abandon these characters. They have great cinematic potential and offer an opportunity for DC Studios to explore lesser-known characters and reinvent the team. Despite previous failures, the right creative hands could bring these characters to life in a new era of DC Studios. It’s time to reinvent the female-led superhero team.
