Annie Murphy, best known for her role in Schitt’s Creek, is making her animated feature debut in DreamWorks Animation’s “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.” Murphy voices the character Chelsea, a popular new girl in town who befriends the sweet and unsure Ruby. However, Chelsea is hiding a sinister secret that pushes Ruby to embrace her kraken identity. In an interview with Collider, Murphy discusses her transition from live-action to animation, offering advice on voice acting and reflecting on the skills she gained. The film also features the voices of Toni Collette, Colman Domingo, and Jane Fonda.
