Sony Picture Classics released a new trailer for Maryam Keshavarz’s Sundance Audience Award-winning film The Persian Version. The film showcases an “all-American” Iranian family, with estranged daughter Leila grappling with her dual cultural identity and secret pregnancy. The film is praised for its empathy and dedication, and it won the Audience Award and Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance. The Persian Version opens in select theaters in October.
