2023 is proving to be a promising year for biopics. Samuel Goldwyn Films is adding another film to the lineup with “Bank of Dave”. The movie follows the true story of Dave Fishwick (played by Rory Kinnear) who sets out to open a small bank in Lancashire, questioning why the British elite haven’t granted a new bank license in over 150 years. The film showcases Dave’s battle and incorporates comedic elements to shed light on the absurd “rules” imposed by the elite. Directed by Chris Foggin, “Bank of Dave” also features performances from Joel Fry, Jo Hartley, Phoebe Dynevor, Hugh Bonneville, and Paul Kaye. The film is set to premiere on August 25.
