30 Years Later, the Coen Brothers’ 95% RT Crime Masterpiece Is on Thin Ice on Streaming

Will the Coen Brothers ever reunite for a project? This is a question we find ourselves asking often since the brothers and directorial duo went their separate ways following 2018’s The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. After decades of working alongside one another on some of Hollywood’s biggest box office hits, Joel and Ethan Coen announced they’d be doing things differently for the foreseeable future. Joel ventured off on his own with The Tragedy of Macbeth, while Ethan explored the life of Jerry Lee Lewis and began a lesbian B-movie trilogy. Fargo, their iconic crime caper, is leaving HBO Max soon.
