The 1937 Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is being adapted into a live-action movie, following the trend of Disney turning its animated classics into live-action features. The film is set to be released in 2024 and will be shown in theaters, not on streaming platforms. Although a trailer has not been released yet, footage of the film was shown at the D23 event in 2022. The plot of Snow White has been modified from the original animated film, including the absence of the titular seven dwarfs and the addition of a new character. The cast includes Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, and Andrew Burnap as a new male character named Jonathan. Other cast members include Martin Klebba, Colin Michael Carmichael, and Dujonna Gift. The film was filmed in the UK and is directed by Marc Webb, with a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write new original songs for the film.
