Marvel VFX Workers Move Toward Unionization; Vote Set For Next Week – The Hollywood Reporter

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has reached an agreement with Disney/Marvel, allowing the visual effects workers to vote on whether they want to unionize. An election date has been set and workers will need to return their ballots by a certain deadline. If the vote passes, the union will be certified. A majority of Marvel’s VFX crew has already indicated their desire to be represented by the union. The unionization effort does not include third-party VFX artists.
