Dave Limp, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Devices and Services, is leaving the company after nearly 14 years. Limp oversaw Amazon’s transition into dedicated hardware devices like Kindle e-readers, Echo speakers, and Fire-branded products. He stated that “it’s time” and mentioned that he will likely continue working outside of the consumer electronics space. Limp will stay on for a few more months until a successor is named. It is worth noting that Amazon’s Devices and Services division has experienced both growth and losses. Other high-level executives have also left the company under CEO Andy Jassy.
