Amicus Productions, the British horror studio known for its anthologies, is making a comeback with a new film titled “In the Grip of Terror.” The anthology will adapt stories by horror authors H.P. Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce, and E.F. Benson. Director Lawrie Brewster aims to honor Amicus’ legacy and re-establish the studio as a beacon of independent British horror. The film stars Laurence R. Harvey, Megan Tremethick, Jonathan Hansler, and Michael Daviot. Amicus Productions, founded in 1962, produced notable horror films such as “Torture Garden,” “Asylum,” and “Tales from the Crypt” before fading away in the late ’70s.
