The film has already grossed over $1.1 billion globally. Director Greta Gerwig has become the highest-grossing female filmmaker of all time at the domestic box office and the highest-grossing female filmmaker of a live-action movie worldwide. Warner Bros. and director Greta Gerwig continue to celebrate Barbie’s success as it breaks new records. The film is projected to finish with around $700 million domestically.
