Apple will not be required to change its “anti-steering” App Store rules as its legal battle with Epic Games continues, as decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. The rules prevent developers from directing customers to make purchases outside of the App Store, but the judge in the Epic vs. Apple case ruled that Apple should allow alternate payment methods. Apple has been able to delay implementing changes pending appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the rule change mandate. Apple has yet to file an appeal with the Supreme Court.
