Tourism in Thailand during the Mother’s Day long weekend in August is expected to be less active than last year due to high prices of fuel, goods, and services. Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, stated that traveling and spending are hindered by these obstacles. One-day trips without an overnight stay are expected to be as common as overnight stays, generating an estimated 8.7 billion baht in tourism revenue, a 5% decrease from last year. The popular Korean TV series “King the Land” has positively influenced visits to Bangkok, with an expected 10.82% increase in visitors compared to last year.
