When Nimona debuts on Netflix on June 30, fans will meet it with a sigh of long-suffering relief. The animated production, an adaptation based on the award-winning graphic novel of the same name, saw a sadly egregious amount of ups and downs. With June 23 on the horizon, let’s examine Nimona’s turbulent production history and why this film’s difficult journey should never have been difficult to begin with.
