Apple is introducing new safety features in iOS 17, including Sensitive Content Warnings that block nudity in incoming files, videos, and images. Users can enable this feature in the Settings app and view blocked content by tapping a “Show” button. The update also includes Messages Check In, which allows users to inform others of their destination and receive notifications if they don’t arrive on time. Communication Safety, a feature introduced last year, is expanding worldwide and will now be available in more countries and platforms. Additionally, the Maps app now works offline, providing turn-by-turn directions and information even without a connection. The Health app includes Medications feature with reminders and plans to add a Critical Alerts feature for important medications.
