We’ve had a boatload of big-name franchises return to the big screen so far this summer, but rarely does a new movie come along that’s as anticipated as the one we’re getting this weekend. Fifteen years after his last adventure, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is back as filmdom’s most famous archeologist in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Fans were highly anticipating Dial for years until the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival a few weeks ago to a middling response, although its reputation has grown in the weeks since as more people have seen it. Hopefully, our boy is given the send-off that he deserves, but there’s only one way to find out: Take an adventure yourself to a nearby movie theater. Elsewhere, for fans of animation, there’s the highly anticipated sci-fi fantasy comedy Nimona, starring Chloë Grace Moretz and Riz Ahmed, coming to Netflix. If you’re not feeling adventurous or animated and would rather check out a new creepy horror movie, then this week’s other Netflix original, Run Rabbit Run, might do the trick.
