As I traveled to Samut Prakan, I was amazed at the beautiful scenery of the city. Known for its ancient temples and cultural heritage, the city has a lot to offer for travelers who are interested in exploring Thailand’s rich history. However, the modern infrastructure of the city has also made it a thriving hub for businesses and trade.
One of my favorite things about Samut Prakan was visiting the Phra Samut Chedi Temple. The magnificent temple, built over centuries, is a testament to Thailand’s connection with Buddhism. The Chao Samrong Naval Museum was another delightful stop, which gave me an insight into Thailand’s naval history.
On the downside, Samut Prakan’s busy streets and many malls can be overwhelming, and as a traveler, I felt like I had to take extra precautions while exploring the city. But regardless of these downsides, Samut Prakan is a relatively affordable city, with an average cost of living approximately $30-$40 per day.
