Hackers have exploited a security vulnerability in the MOVEit file transfer tool, compromising the personal data of over 15.5 million individuals. More than 140 organizations have been identified as victims of Clop ransomware attacks targeting the vulnerability. The affected organizations include universities, government departments, banks, and energy companies. The University of California–Los Angeles (UCLA) and Siemens Energy are among the newly listed victims. The exact number of impacted organizations is unknown, but the number of breached individuals is expected to increase. The U.S. State Department has offered a $10 million bounty for information on the Clop ransomware group.
