If you feel like doing something a little bit different, open up a can of spinach and take a trip to Malta. Popeye Village, also known as Sweethaven Village, is a theme park that was originally a purpose-built film set for the 1980 movie “Popeye” starring Robin Williams. The park includes a tribute to Williams with posters of his career. Malta has been a popular filming location for movies such as “Gladiator,” “Midnight Express,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” and “Troy.” Game of Thrones also filmed several episodes in Malta.
