Blizzard is introducing hardcore servers to World of Warcraft Classic, where characters are limited to one life and cannot be resurrected. Ghost characters will remain for communication, and players can transfer to non-hardcore servers after death. In order to prevent player deception, restrictions have been added, such as not being able to kite monsters to lower-level areas and the need to deliberately flag for PvP before attacking others. While there will be less emphasis on player-versus-player combat, a new dueling mechanic will be introduced. Hardcore servers will be available before the end of summer, with a public test build launching on June 29th.
