Film director Roland Emmerich is diving into the world of NFTs with his upcoming RPG, Space Nation Online. This game will be part of a larger shared universe, featuring animated shorts, a live-action TV show, and other Web3 experiences. The developers are focused on using NFTs to enhance the potential of Web3 games. The project has received over $50 million in funding and boasts talent like Jerome Wu from World of Warcraft and Tony Tang from Warframe. A first-look video of the game’s development is available. Space Nation Online’s alpha build will be released this summer, with a full launch planned for 2024.
