Bloober Team, the studio behind Layers of Fear, has announced a shift in focus from psychological horror to mass-market horror games. Studio co-founder Piotr Babieno stated that they are entering a new phase known as Bloober Team 3.0, where they will prioritize action and player input to generate fear and expand their audience. While Bloober will still incorporate horror elements, they aim to deliver their ideas through gameplay mechanics rather than relying solely on narrative and environmental cues. The studio recently released a remastered version of Layers of Fear, marking the end of their Bloober Team 2.0 phase.
