Most people study for years to earn their college degree, but Steven Spielberg used his movies to earn credits in two separate college classes. Spielberg is one of the most highly acclaimed and popular filmmakers, but he decided to go back to college and complete his degree in film and electronic arts. He re-enrolled at California State University at Long Beach and took classes under a pseudonym to avoid attention. He used his films, Jurassic Park to earn credits in paleontology and Schindler’s List to earn credits in advanced filmmaking. Spielberg’s educational journey was described as the “longest post-production schedule” of his life.
