Police are investigating a loan shark assault after a woman was struck by a chair and left unconscious at her som tam shop in Mueang Phetchaburi district, Phetchaburi. The woman, identified as 54-year-old Thitirat, suffered a cut to her lip and was disoriented when help arrived. The assailants, an illegal moneylending group, demanded payment of a 300 baht debt, leading to an argument and the violent attack. This incident follows previous attempts by the same group to collect debt. Police are examining the scene and seeking CCTV footage to identify the suspects for legal action.
