Songkran festival to boost Thailand’s economy with 30 billion baht

Thailand’s Songkran Festival is expected to generate over 30 billion Baht this April, drawing hundreds of thousands of tourists from both domestic and international markets. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) projects a 6% increase in revenue compared to last year, with approximately 500,000 foreign tourists and 5,963,000 Thai visitors expected to participate in the celebrations. Bangkok will host the Maha Songkran World Water Festival and Saneh Art by Songkran Festival, showcasing traditional and contemporary elements of Thai culture.
