Taylor Sheridan’s 2-Part Neo-Western Officially Becomes His Lowest-Rated Series

Taylor Sheridan’s latest show, Marshals, has unexpectedly become the lowest-rated series in his portfolio on Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of just 28%. This is notably lower than other Sheridan productions like 1923 (54%) and Landman (57%). Critics have pointed out that Marshals lacks the narrative spark and intrigue that characterized Yellowstone. Despite its shortcomings, the series explores new territory for the character Kayce Dutton, portrayed by Luke Grimes, and aims to establish its own identity distinct from its predecessor. Marshals airs Sundays at 8 PM on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
