Sonya Walger has been cast to recur as Freya in Prime Video’s adaptation of God of War, produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Freya, a Vanir goddess and Odin’s ex-wife, is skilled in ancient magic and was the Queen of the Valkyries. Following her unhappy marriage to Odin, Freya was exiled, leading to a solitary life in Midgard for a century, away from her homeland, Vanaheim. She lives in a hidden glade, feared by locals, and is often known as the Witch of the Woods. Updates will follow as the story develops.
