Locals claimed to have seen the pair in a romantic relationship, with allegations of inappropriate behavior and explicit rituals inside the temple. Despite denial from Somchai, he resigned and moved to another temple to ease concerns. No further investigation or punishment was expected from the National Office of Buddhism.
