The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the recipients of the 2025-2026 Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, honoring three individuals and two writing teams. The selected fellows are Leo Aguirre, Lynn McKee, Katla Sólnes, Omar Al Dakheel, Elie El Choufany, Sara Crow, and David Rafailedes. The program provides support, resources, and networking opportunities while promoting diverse storytelling talent. Scripts from the fellows are archived at the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library. Since 1986, the Nicholl program has awarded 191 fellowships, fostering emerging writers without acquiring rights to their works.
