Hayao Miyazaki’s First Studio Ghibli Project Since 2023 Gets First Images

Award-winning filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki has announced a new project three years after releasing The Boy and the Heron. With a career spanning since 1963, Miyazaki is loved for his storytelling and animation. He co-founded Studio Ghibli in 1985, where he directed iconic films like My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. The latest project is not a film but a series of three-dimensional artworks titled “panorama boxes.” Miyazaki created 31 boxes featuring original illustrations from his films, set to be displayed at Ghibli Park in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, this July, offering children an engaging view of the artworks.
