As well as his regular Twitter schedule of recommending movies and books and criticizing the changes Elon Musk has made to the app, Stephen King also frequently calls out politicians he doesn’t agree with. On Monday, the author reignited a beef with an old nemesis: U.S. Senator for Texas, Ted Cruz. The whole thing started over the weekend when Cruz shared a video of himself appearing on Fox News to reiterate his claims about U.S. immigration policy. King quote tweeted Cruz, referencing an incident the senator was criticized for back in 2021. Cruz responded by describing King as a “Multi-millionaire Leftist.” King responded by pointing out Cruz’s wealth and questioning how his constituents were doing.
