Bangchak Corporation has confirmed its acquisition of Esso Thailand. As a result, around 700 Esso petrol stations will begin operating under the Bangchak brand. The financial value of the ordinary shares of Esso is estimated at 22.6 billion baht. The takeover will also lead to a comprehensive rebranding of all Esso petrol stations within two years. This acquisition has increased Bangchak’s petrol refinery capacity to 174,000 barrels per day and expanded its network of petrol stations to approximately 800 locations in Thailand.
