A police officer in Thailand has agreed to pay a durian vendor 140,000 baht in compensation after a physical altercation where he broke her plastic nose. The dispute began over an outstanding debt of 350 baht for the durian. The vendor, Tittaya Boonpamee, shared footage of the altercation on Facebook, which showed her punching the officer in the face. She explained that the assault occurred at a coffee shop in Sisaket province. Tittaya reported the incident to the police, and the officer admitted to the attack. The police station’s superintendent apologized and promised to monitor the officer’s behavior.
